What is vegan hyaluronic acid?
Vegan hyaluronic acid is made from a plant called Cassia angustifolia. It is known to protect and moisturize the skin by attracting and retaining water in the skin. It may also help plump and smooth for a youthful appearance.
Botanical Hyaluronic Acid also contains hydrolyzed glycosaminoglycans, a mixture of plant-derived polysaccharides. It is known to bind with water to improve skin elasticity and smoothness. This is also known to be an essential ingredient to support collagen which keeps the skin smooth, supple and youthful.
Before the 1990s, the only form of hyaluronic acid available was of animal origins, often found in rooster combs. Plant-based hyaluronic acid is a cleaner, more ethical way to enjoy natural hydration.
